22/12/2011 Bright Archer's new record out now.
The collaboration between Johanna Kunin (aka Bright Archer) and American Typewriter finally happened.
We are very proud to announce the release of Hidden Systems, Johanna's last album. On which you can discover (if you have'nt discovered yet) the original quality of this Portland based and talented musician.
The record is already available through our webshop, where you can also listen and find more info about it.
26/03/2011 2nd anniversary party.
On April the 1st we are celebrating 2 years of existence of the label. Yes... the anniversary was on January but better late than never.
The event will be at West Germany (Skalitzer Straße 133, 10999 Berlin) and Vargas, Lonski & Classen and Dj Wald und Wiese will be playing.
On the next day (April 2nd) there is a presentation of the label at enblanco Projektraum (Manteuffelstr. 73, 10999 Berlin)
with a concert from Chapter, and if the weather is good... with paella!

As some of you already know, American Typewriter has moved from Spain to Berlin.
We have finally updated and modified today the shipping costs at our online store.
And yes, the store is open 24 hours a day.
08/12/2010 Music from friend artists and labels.
We thought it would be a good idea to have at our online store records from friend artists and labels as well as our own records. For now you can find vinyls and CDs from Björn Kleinhenz, Equus and Chapter and we will be adding more stuff soon.
22/10/2010 We welcome Lonski & Classen.
The duo from Berlin Lonski & Classen will be on tour supporting Yann Tiersen live shows on a dozen european countries during the next two months. Check their dates here.
Their album Climbing On Branches and the new 7" Freedom / The Gift are already on pre-order in our shop section. The estimated release date is November 8th.

Keys was reviewed by the guys of the UK website Fluid Radio. We like a lot what they say. Check it out there if you're interested.
14/06/2010 New release out now.
The compilation Keys, including tracks by Peter Broderick, Library Tapes, Machinefabriek, Nils Frahm, Rafael Anton Irisarri, Sommer, Richard A Ingram, Krater and Gabriela Parra is finally available. From the strictly modern classical sound to the more experimental and electronic stuff using piano. In addition to the music, the great sleeve design is made by Rutger Zuydervelt.
Soon we will proceed to ship the vinyls of those who made your pre-order. If you did not reserved your copy you can buy it from now on at our online store or at the usual stores.
15/05/2010 American Typewriter Exhibition.
From May 15th to June 30th there is an American Typewriter exhibition at "La Panera" Art Center in Lleida (Spain). It talks about who we are, what we make, people who collaborate with us and gives some technical data to explain why we love vinyl.
30/11/2009 Rue Royale's album out now.
We are proud to say that Rue Royale's debut long-player is finally released on American Typewriter in a limited vinyl edition of 310 copies stamp-numbered. Ten tracks which will satisfy fans of Fleetwood Mac, Zero 7, Iron and Wine and Sufjan Stevens.

We've added new dates on the booking section and more products on the store. Now you can find the Björn Kleinhenz's new album B.U.R.M.A. and some merchandising (t-shirts and badges). We hope you like it!
We also should inform you that Rue Royale's album release date has been moved from October 26th to November 16th.
We have an spanish set phrase that says "Lo bueno se hace esperar" that it means something like "Good things come to those who wait". So we have to wait for this great album few more weeks.
01/09/2009 Free B.U.R.M.A.'s taste.
Next release on American Typewriter will be out on September 21st. But from today you can get a free taste of this beautiful album B.U.R.M.A. by Björn Kleinhenz. It's two tracks, "Black Water", included on the album, and one exclusive track "Mountain Pt.2" courtesy of Björn himself. The album is already available for pre-order at our shop section.
20/07/2009 Varga's album Tarragona out now.
Tarragona is the new Varga's album and it's released on a limited edition (stamp-numbered, as we use to do) of 368 copies in white coloured vinyl. The record is already available at our online shop and will be on stores very soon.
29/03/2009 American Typewriter Spanish distribution.
American Typewriter is distributed in Spain via Green Ufos. This means that, from now on, you can find our records on the most important spanish indie records stores.
15/01/2009 Matt Sheehy's album out now.
We are proud to announce the first American Typewriter release. It's a full
length album by an Alaskan born and Portland bred maestro Matt Sheehy. Tigerphobia
was self-released in a very limited edition CD. Now we are releasing it on
vinyl containing an extra track "Pink And Blue" not included on
the CD. The result is a collection of 12 tracks full of feelings, emotion,
depth and undeniable energy. It will charm you from the first listen. Released
in a limited stamp-numbered edition of 522 copies.

Our aim is really simple. To show the world the music that we like, the music

in physical format for a very simple reason too. Because we love it. American
